AIN DTF textile printing ink is designed for direct lamination and thermal transfer printing. It helps reduce printhead clogging and drying problems, making prints durable and colorfast after countless washes.
This ink is specially formulated to have clear and bright colors and excellent flexibility, and is compatible with printheads from multiple brands such as Epson, Mimaki, Mutoh, and Roland.

DTF Ink Classification
DTF ink (Direct to Film ink) is a special ink designed for DTF printing. It can be directly applied to the transfer film to present durable and bright printing effects on various fabrics.

 Color: CMYK four colors, spot color
 Ingredients: water-based, oil-based, UV curing
 Fabric adaptation: pure cotton, polyester, blended special
 Special functions: fluorescent, luminous, etc.

By color: CMYK four-color inks can be mixed to present full color;Special color inks are used to accurately match specific colors.

By ingredients: Water-based is environmentally friendly and has delicate colors;Oil-based dries quickly and has good wear resistance;UV-cured inks dry quickly after ultraviolet irradiation and have high gloss.

By fabric adaptability: There are special inks for pure cotton, polyester, blended fabrics, etc., which are suitable for different fabric characteristics.
In addition, there are special functional inks such as fluorescent and luminous.
 
Tips: Do not mix inks, use first to clear the pipes; open immediately before use, use up within 3 months, seal if not used up, avoid contact, swallowing, inhalation, wash hands after use.

Method and Steps
1、The pattern to be applied through photoshop or other image processing software to complete the preprocessing, then input into the digital printing software.
 
2、The printer should make the best match between the consumables such as the
matching hot transfer film, ink, and image color ICC and the software. The printed pattern is guaranteed to be bright and stable.
 Printing humidity condition should remain 50%-60%;
 Indoor temperature should remain 20-30℃;
 The temperature of printer rear heating board should remain 38℃~45℃.

3、After printing the pattern, let the film flow into the automatic powder shaker machine.
 Due to ink and other reasons, please pay attention to climate change, we can be turned on the front and rear heating function to ensure stable quality during low temperature in winter.Baking machine connected heating board is also recommended to 40-50 degrees.

4、Generally, the baking speed after shaking powder is appropriate to match the printing
speed. The temperature is best to be warm first and then hot. It is appropriate to
control the temperature of the film surface between 70 and 90℃.

5、After baking, the finished film with pattern should be printed on the surface of
substrate clothing and other materials by heat transfer printing machine
as early as possible.

 Heat printing temperature: 140-160℃,
it can be adjusted by the physical properties of hot melt powder;
 Heat printing time: 7sec to 10se;
 Heat printing pressure: 5--7KG;
 According to the different fabric matching
  • Ink flow

    Reasons

    1.Ink is prone to flow in areas with powder impurities or crush wounds.
    2.The heating board fails to operate properly after printing.

    Solutions
     
    If ink flow is caused by poor absorption:
    1.Reduce the proportion of white ink setting and moderately cut down the quantity of white ink.         
    2.Increase the temperature of the printer heating board to improve the pass - rate.
    3.
    Utilize board heating to activate the ink, thereby reducing the ink flow phenomenon.
  • Ink Contam

    Reasons
     
    1.The damper in the ink supply system is damaged, leaking air, or has abnormal ink return, causing ink back - flow and mixing due to negative air pressure.
    2.Improper cleaning of the print head leads to bubbles from cleaning liquid affecting ink flow.
    3.The wiper blade is aged, and the ink - suction function of the capping station declines.

    Solutions
     
    1.Check and repair or replace the damaged damper.
    2.Standardize the print head cleaning process and avoid long - term soaking.
    3.Replace aged components in time, clean dirty blades regularly, and adjust nozzle positions if necessary.
  • Poor pattern clarity

    Reasons
     
    1.Poor quality in screen - plate making for printing, such as issues with pattern effect, screen tension, and plate - exposing process.
    2.Uneven ink - scraping pressure during printing.
    3.Inappropriate ink viscosity.
    4.The printing substrate is too rough.
     
    Solutions
     
    1.Improve screen - plate making standards, ensure proper tension and pattern effect, and optimize the plate - exposing process.
    2.Adjust the ink - scraping pressure to make it even.
    3.Adjust the ink viscosity according to actual conditions.
    4.Select a suitable substrate or pre - treat rough substrates.
  • Color Migration & Discolor

    Reasons
     
    1.Insufficient curing temperature, leading to insufficient ink layer curing.
    2.The printing substrate contains disperse dyes, and the dyes sublime during heat treatment.
    3.Using inks with poor migration resistance, such as purple, peach red, and fluorescent colors.
    4.Excessively high ink curing temperature.
     
    Solutions
     
    1.Ensure sufficient curing temperature and time.
    2.Know the dye components of the substrate, avoid using substrates with disperse dyes or pre - treat them.
    3.Select ink colors carefully and control the temperature during high - temperature curing.
  • Weak Adhesion & Fading

    Reasons
     
    1.Insufficient curing temperature, resulting in incomplete ink curing.
    2.Insufficient power of the equipment, causing inconsistent curing degrees between the surface and bottom of the ink layer.
    3.The printing material is not suitable for DTF ink.
     
    Solutions
    1.Accurately set and control the curing temperature and time.
    2.Check the equipment power and repair or replace it if necessary.
    3.Select a printing material compatible with DTF ink.
